I must say, although some other major YouTube's might have more subscription, but Mr.Mobile does have the finest writing.

You're "home" because you accepted the compromise Apple demanded. Keyboard is still not good and not nearly as good as competitors like the XPS or even the 2015 Macbook pro. Still no ports that people use etc etc.

You kept using the previous MacBook pro for 4 years even though it was a disaster according to your words. I don't know what to say. You are stonewalled into Apple it seems

I will never buy this. Lack of ports make this useless. No matter how good the keyboard is or the trackpad is or the screen is. Its still useless. I refuse to carry dongles everywhere I go. You should too.

That disclaimer you have on the end of every video, places you worlds above most other tech Youtubers. I really appreciate your honesty as well as your insight

No way I give a company 3 straight years of disappointment. Apple gets more passes than the gate at Disney. That said, Adobe needs to up their game. So many prefer Final Cut over it now.

If I spent 6 grand on a laptop I would never let it be in the same country as a cup of coffee

Yo Mr Mobile – Would you ever consider checking out the new Linux Laptops that are in the market. There are Mainstream OEMs who provide options as well as smaller companies like System76

This video is basically the summary on how much of a safety cushion the Apples closed ecosystem is. 3 years of cock-ups and bad design and you still go and buy the new one. Windows manufacturer? One big flop and you are out. That is the power of Apple no one will ever manage again – today with such open market it would be super hard to conceive such closed (but usefull and working no denying that) ecosystem.

It does look like an improvement but I've had nothing but trouble with my 2015 model (even though I far prefer macOS to Windows), and I detest macOS Catalina, so I can't say I'm keen to buy another MacBook. I've made the switch to Linux instead.

Wait, MacBooks don't have a touch screen and you can't turn it to a tablet? Seriously? … I am amazed by that fact, obviously I've never been into Apple and you just gave me another reason never to look into it. They are strangely far behind with new technologies, sometimes. I mean, my 250 USD Chromebook is a 2 in 1 (yeah, I know that you can't compare those devices when it comes to what they can do) Anyway, I am happy, that you enjoy your Apple experience, again. _cR

I've had mine since a couple weeks after launch and absolutely love it. It's the best MBP they've made in 5 years for sure.

I hope Apple will eventually make the touch bar an option on the 16" MacBook Pro, I'm really looking forward to getting the 2020 16" MacBook Pro, because my 2009 17" MacBook Pro is slowly and steadily dying

I feel tempted to switch to this machine but what about 3d professional modeling, CAD and rendering? This laptop is up to Quadro level cards or at least comparable?

Still doesn’t have basic ports. I can’t tell you how often I still use USB thumbdrives, HDMI, Card reader, and Magsafe is one of the best investions ever. And that price? Delusional.

I've had my 16" MBP since it came out in November. Mine is not the fully maxed out version that Mr. Mobile features here but it is still plenty fast and capable for the work I do on it everyday. I replaced an XPS 15 and the 16×10 aspect ratio display almost makes the computer worth the extra cost over that Dell since I do most of my work on the laptop display itself. It is certainly not perfect but it is a fast, reliable machine that is not too heavy and gets great battery life for doing work on the go.

I will still wait for the next model from Apple 🍏 without the touch bar and some new design.

I mean all of the compliments are basically " it's not as bad as it used to be" , "it isn't broken" or "they went back to the 2015 design"

I was fortunate enough to get a mid-range spec 16" and it really does everything you need it too….I don't game heavily and if I did, I wouldn't be using a mobile device to do it on (just my thoughts)..

Ohh and why on earth has it took me so long to use Mac OS 🤔……. As a lifelong Android/Windows user, the switch to IOS and Mac has been absolutely startling. I really wish I hadn't got on that 'Hate Everything Apple' bandwagon and stubbornly sat on it for the amount of time I did.

Anyone considering the switch (affordability considered), I would just say try it out and you won't regret it.

    March 7, 2020 9:17 pm

I am waiting about 3 years for macbook pro without any issues. But looking at your video the touchbar still freezes. Anyways will wait for the next improved macbook pro 16 with Mini LED and also hope the touchbar freezing stops. Because i won’t spend tons of money for that freezing touchbar.

I need to make that thumbs you made at 6:15. It makes me laugh every time.

Excellent review as always, my work provided me with one for my edits, and it's the first MacBook I have enjoyed since my 2015 Model. Thank you Mr.Mobile

Hey man thanks for that shoutout for Macbooks to have touchscreens. It's about time Apple ditches the gimmicky touchbar and actually implements proper touch input on Macs with an actual touchscreen.

I’m not gonna lie. I love my 2017 15-inch MacBook Pro. It has so many problems but it serves all my purposes. I got it used off of eBay for a killer price!!!

5500 GPU is a low end GPU. The 5700 is far more powerful. The GPUs that will come out late in the year will kill the GPU in the MacBook 16".

As a part-time video editor, a part-time coder, and a full-time do-nothing-er. I finally decided to get the new MacBook Pro 16 i9 base model when it is on sale, rare grab!

I think this would enable me to go out more without worrying about battery life as I have with my fast gaming laptop that I would stress out when I am watching video/coding OTG. So far battery life and charging time is on par with my expectation and it also pumps out good enough CPU juice that I need with VM/emulator running simultaneously.

I bought the late 2015 Macbook Pro with the old USB ports in 2017 because I was able to get a great deal on a re-certified laptop from Apple. So glad I did.
Never had an issue and it got me through to my 2019 MacBookPro and my 2015 is still a great laptop. I love my 2019 Macbook Pro 16". It's much faster compiling my programs. Totally worth it.

Hey, let’s replace the function keys with the non-haptic TouchBar and then making sure that applications dependent on CUDA (basically all apps in Cad/Cam, architecture, 3D, science, simulations and machine learning!) cannot be used. Seriously, Apple’s definition of PRO is a wedding photographer.

March 9, 2020 3:42 am had me until "acoustic disaster on my prior MacBook" I'd never blame the built in mics ..because I'd never use it..and Im not sure if the last few seconds of your video was supposed to have synced sound …but it didn't

Please still back everything up VERY frequently, it is still NOT reliable and data recovery is ALMOST OR IMPOSSIBLE.
