THE VICTIMS NAMES HAVE NOT BEEN RELEASED BUT RELATIVES ARE BEGINNING TO CONFIRM SOME OF THEM. THE FLIGHTS WERE CANCELED AND THE AIRPORT WAS TEMPORARY CLOSED AFTER THE FLYING FORTRESS CRASHED. HECTOR MALINA IS LIVE WITH AN UPDATE ON ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES AT THE AIRPORT. HECTOR: I’VE BEEN KEEPING TRACK OF THE FLIGHTS SINCE 9:00, AND I’VE ONLY SEEN ONE DELAYED ARRIVAL. THERE’S A LOT OF GREEN, MEANING A LOT OF THE ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES ARE ON SCHEDULE HERE TODAY. HOWEVER, THAT WAS NOT THE CASE. — CASE 24 HOURS AGO WHEN THE AIRPORT CLOSED TEMPORARILY. I SPOKE WITH SEVERAL PASSENGERS AT BRADLEY THIS MORNING WHO CAME IN EARLY IN PREPARATION FOR POSSIBLE DELAYS OR CANCELLATIONS, BUT THEY SAID THEY WERE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED TO SEE EVERYTHING WAS ON TIME. I GOT UP A LITTLE EARLIER BECAUSE I WANTED TO CHECK THE NEWS AND CHECK THE WEBSITE AND MAKE SURE THE AIRPORT WAS OK AND ALL OF THE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS WERE FINE, BUT IT DIDN’T PERSONALLY AFFECT ME SO I GOT LUCKY. HECTOR: IF YOU HAVE PLANS LATER TODAY TO FLY, AN AIRPORT SPOKESPERSON SAID KEEP CHECKING INTO THE STATUS OF YOUR FLIGHT AND THE NTSB WILL LOOK INTO WHETHER A SIMILAR ISSUE COULD HAPPEN ON A SIMILAR TYPE OF AIRCRAFT IN AN UPDATED MEDIA BRIEFING SCHEDULE LATER TODAY FOR 4:00 AT THE SHERATON HOTEL NEXT TO BRADLEY INTERNATIONAL
