Thomas Cook is the UK’s worst airline for delayed flights – Which?

Searching for your dream holiday at a
purse friendly price buck with Thomas cook and the budget airline boasts
you’ll get the most out of your time away. But fly with the cut-price carrier
and you could place long delays. A witch investigation has found its customers
are more likely to be at least an hour late than passengers of any of the other
big UK operators. Thomas Cook also delivered the most unpunctual route of
2018. We found a third of holidaymakers flying from Stansted to Turkey’s Dalaman
were held up staring at the departure board instead of soaking up the sunshine.
And judging by flight records the problems getting worse. Thomas Cook
blames factors beyond its control for its poor performance saying, ‘unlike other
airlines we do everything possible to avoid cancelling flights to get our
customers away on holiday which can impact overall punctuality figures.’ But
while there’s no doubt busier skies and air traffic control strikes can add to
long delays, we found other cut-price competitors managing to weather the
storm while faring far better on sticking to the schedule. For expert
advice on how to claim compensation if your flights delayed visit which

Flown on TC twice in the past year, first flight delayed by an hour on departure several reasons given – turned out to be a technical.fault with the aircraft. Second time only one pilot turned up, took a couple of hours to find a replacement. Both returns were on time. Jet2 is best in my experience.

I do not agree, every time I have flown with Thomas cook and flew with them 3 times, from East Midlands Airport EMA and Manchester MAN and they were on time all the time. We flew on LY-VEG, LY-VED and LY-VEN
